I'm 27 and currently reside in Chicago. I grew up outside of Boston, MA and graduated from UMass Amherst with a self designed concentration in Arts & Entertainment Management.
I joined the Anthropologie sorority in 2010 which exposed me to a career path I hadn't considered before, fashion styling. I spent two years living, dating and searching for entertainment jobs in Boston before itching for change.
Since 2012, Chicago has opened so many doors for me in fashion and music. Each experience has taught me the skills I need to embark on my new chapter. I'm finally in a place of courage, self-discipline and drive to put myself out there.
Shower & Food has been at the top of my creative list since leaving college. It started as a hum while waiting for a very late bus on the side of the road in Greece. After an entire day at the beach, my crew and I were tired, dirty and hungry. All I wanted was a shower and food.
The hum translated into a blog name because it hit close to home. Shower & Food is self-care, nourishment for the body and soul. Music, fashion, art and film have always fed my soul.
I hope my thoughts, ideas and creative energy that I share here on Shower & Food will nourish your passions.
